We march for everyone
Following the monumental Women's March on Washington, an abysmal video went viral insulting the marchers, their signage, and their apparel. So I am dedicating this blog post to respond to "Activist Mommy" Elizabeth by saying that not only was that video disrespectful, but also, we marchers are far from done. And may I add, we might be protected by law to have the same pay as men, but employers and others do not necessarily practice that.
I find it unsettling for women to insult the mothers of this country's future. As the March continues, as it will, it should be a march for women everywhere, with all political backgrounds and religious affiliations. And when we fight women's rights we are fighting for all human rights. When the most vulnerable ones among us are seen and protected, then we can rest. Until then, the Revolution starts right here, right now, and no one will be left behind.

Ban the Ban
On Friday, Justice James Robart blocked an executive order
made by President Trump to stop immigrants
coming in from the countries of Iran, Iraq, Libya,
Somalia, Sudan, Syria and Yemen. Trump fired back by tweeting (yes, Kellyanne Conway has not taken his phone away yet) “The opinion of this
so-called judge, which essentially takes law-enforcement away from our country,
is ridiculous and will be overturned!”
A Federal Appeals Court was presented with the case by the Department of Justice, who asked that the executive order be immediately restored. The Court refused to do this, so, while the case is being decided, refugees and visitors to our country can continue to come in.
I stand with all the refugees around the world. I am ready to protest and fight for justice. Are you?

Repeal and replace the Electoral College!!
The Electoral College is outdated, and there needs to be a
better way to directly elect our Presidents. Always remember: Hillary Clinton
won the Popular Vote and should be President. If we just got rid of the EC,
situations like 2000 and 2016 won’t happen again. Whoever gets the most votes
wins; it only makes sense for it to be like that.
The EC was created in order to give more voting power to the slave states. Given that slavery has been abolished, it is no longer needed.

The Next Day
Donald Trump has already been President for over twenty-four
hours, and millions of Americans felt voiceless as he took the oath of office.
On his first full day of being President, the women of this beautiful country
marched, in almost every single major city in the country. (Russia, of course,
is probably celebrating and not protesting). In honor of the late Carrie Fisher,
the phrase “A woman’s place is in the Resistance” was coined, and the Peaceful
Revolution began. Join the revolution today by calling your congressmen and
women and telling them that your state does not stand for bigotry, sexism, and
fascism.
